INTRODUCTION
The Government of Gujarat and
GCERT have approved the policy of the Government to have a uniform curriculum
at the national level. Gujarat State
School Textbook Board translating the textbook of Std. 1 Mathematics subject
published by NCERT, New Delhi into Gujarati and presenting it to the
students. Feel happy The textbook has been translated and reviewed
by expert professors and teachers and a state level committee has been
constituted to approve the textbook before publishing it after making
appropriate corrections in the manuscript as per the suggestions of the
reviewers. A three-day workshop of
experts from RTE Bhopal as NCERT representative was organized with this
committee and the textbook was finalized in which Mr. Parimal Patel, Mr. Hiren
Prajapati, Mr. Ashok Parmar, Mr. M. a
. Sheikh, Dr. Suresh Makwana (RIE, Bhopal), Shri Aji Thomas
(RIE, Bhopal) have been present and provided their valuable suggestions and
guidance.
